The BBC Good Food Show Spring 2012 has now closed

Gennaro Contaldo

Gennaro Contaldo is one of the most respected chefs in London as well as a renowned personality in his own right. He is widely known as the Italian legend who taught Jamie Oliver all he knows about Italian cooking.

Born in Minori on the Amalfi Coast, Gennaro’s quintessentially Italian spirit and positive nature has made him a TV favourite. He regularly appears as the Italian food expert on ‘Saturday Kitchen’ and ‘Market Kitchen’. He has also appeared on ’Jamie’s Christmas’, and ‘Jamie at Home’, ‘Jamie’s Italy’ and, ‘Jamie’s Kitchen’.

He has written 4 Italian cook books all published by Headline, the most recent called ‘Gennaro’s Easy Italian’. He has just finished writing his fifth with Antonio Carluccio which will be published at the beginning of this year to accompany the new series he has just finished filming for BBC2. His books have won a number of awards including the ‘Gourmand World Cookbook’.

He has written 4 Italian cook books all published by Headline, the most recent called ‘Gennaro’s Easy Italian’. He is currently writing his fifth with Antonio Carluccio due to be publish in the Spring of next year.
